Landfill Treasures

I am certain there are treasures in landfills beyond our wildest dreams.

I am certain the gifts to change the world are right before our eyes.

I am certain there is enough good in the world to redeem all the garbage we create and dump on one another.

I am certain of all of this because I have a deep faith in a God of redemption and grace, who sees beauty in places I see filth, who sees no one as disposable, and who longs for us to praise him as one big orchestra no matter the origins of each player or each instrument.

The following video touched me, and I am excited to see where the project goes. I wanted to share it with you.

Be blessed,

Pastor JD

Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary;

praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,

praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,

praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,

praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

About Pastor J. D. Rose

My childhood was spent in the church, and that has been a great foundational element for me, but somewhere along the line I decided not just to attend church, but to really follow Jesus. I suppose that moment is when my call to plant a church was born.
